The Social Concierge blog
Short, practical write-ups on how social platforms really handle accounts: the forms that work, the waiting periods nobody mentions, and the changes worth knowing about before they catch you out.
The Social Concierge blog explains platform rules and processes in plain English. Expect posts on new recovery and appeal flows, changes to verification programs, username policies, scams that target account owners, and privacy settings worth revisiting, each one linked to the platform's own help pages so you can check the source.
What will you find here?
The help guides answer one problem from start to finish. The blog covers what moves in between: a platform renames a settings menu, a form gains a new ID check, or a scam starts circulating with a convincing new script. Typical posts will include:
- Walk-throughs of official forms when a platform changes them, with what each field actually needs.
- Scam alerts, such as fake "verification department" messages and paid "unban" offers, and how to recognize them.
- Settings checklists for privacy and login security on the major apps.
- Plain explanations of policy updates, written for account owners rather than lawyers.
Every post states when it was written and links its sources. If something we wrote goes out of date, we update it and say what changed. Have a question you'd like answered here? Send it to us, or browse the help topics in the meantime.
